Care

Wood has a superior feel to plastic, glass, or stone.  Wood does not dull your knives as quickly and can clean up with light soap and water.  Always re wax your board after using water and NEVER put it in the dishwasher.  It’s wood, so remember it will burn and cut. Wetting only one side can cause warping as it dries.  Allow your board to air dry on edge so BOTH sales can dry evenly.  Apply food grade mineral oil to freshen the appearance and reignite the colors.  Some Exotic woods can trigger nut allergies, in rare instances, use caution if this affects you.

Do you custom build boards?

Yes I do.  But I charge more because it takes more time.  My goal is to have boards in stock so the photo is the actual board you get, not one I build after you place your order.  Wood varies, grain, figure, markings, I can't control these things.  Carrying the inventory of ready to ship boards is more expensive but I think it will lead to better customer satisfaction.

Shipping

Shipping is included in all orders.  As you all know recent inflation trends have most costs rising, including shipping.  My boards are large and heavy.  They also need protection when packed.  Please remember, this is a significant cost included in your purchase price.
